La Puerta de San Juan

La puerta de San Juan was one of the five entrances to the fortified city of San Juan. This one was the main one of the five and is the only one still left standing. This door was used to welcome new governors and bishops and were closed at night to protect the inhabitants from attacks by land or sea. It also marks the end of el Paseo de la Princesa.
